Project overview
The main objective of this IOM project is to address urgent basic needs and reduce protection risks for South Sudanese returnees by providing safe, voluntary and dignified onward transportation assistance to their areas of origin or interest. This project provides registration, vulnerability and pre-departure screening for returnees as part of the onward transportation assistance, as well as onward transportation assistance through charter flights, buses and boats. The project aims to provide life-saving assistance to 17,000 people, including 5,000 women, 7,500 children, and including 2,500 persons with disabilities.
