Project overview
The main objective of this project was reduce the mortality and morbidity of cholera in the Comoros and stop the local and regional spread in neighboring countries. The Health response included deploying rapid response teams, distributing cholera kits and other medical supplies, installing and supporting case management and treatment structures within communities and intensifying epidemiological surveillance with active case finding. The project provided life-saving assistance to 24,349 people, of whom 6,818 are women and 5,257 are girls. 690 people with disabilities benefit from this project.
