Project overview

The main objective of this project is the provision of integrated sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender-based violence (GBV) services to mitigate the effects of the drought emergency in Turkana, Wajir, Mandera, and Marsabit counties in Kenya. This UNFPA project provides integrated SRH and GBV health outreaches, distributes dignity kits, strengthens the capacity of rescue centers and safe spaces, provides mental health and psychosocial support, and disseminates information on available SRH and GBV services. In total the project targets 452,845 people, including 42,399 men, 319,416 women and 95,982 children. 5,535 persons with disabilities are also supported.
