Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), as well as nutrition assistance to vulnerable communities affected by drought in the Somali, Oromia, and other regions in southern Ethiopia. This UNICEF project provides access to quality drinking water by constructing new water supply systems and rehabilitating old ones. The project also treats children with severe malnutrition by providing them with therapeutic feeding. This project provides humanitarian assistance to 150,000 people, of whom 28% are women, 25% are men, and 47% are children. 15,000 people with disabilities will also benefit from this project.
