Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide water, sanitation and hygiene and nutrition assistance to host communities, refugees and returnees in Wadi Fira, Biltine, Dar Tama, Iriba, Megri, Sila, Djourf Al Ahmar, Kimiti, Ouaddaand, Abdi, Assoungha, Ouara. This UNICEF project rehabilitees 20 weather-resilient water points and screens for severe acute malnutrition including treatments. The water, sanitation and hygiene component of the project provides humanitarian assistance to 60,000 people, including 1,600 women, 4,500 children, and including 7,800 persons with disabilities. The nutrition component of the project provides humanitarian assistance to 225,500 people, including 8,000 women, 3,000 children, and including 11,000 persons with disabilities.
