Provision of GBV and CCCM support to mitigate the effects of potential flooding in Bentiu (22-RR-HCR-017)

Project overview

The main objective of this project was to provide early action assistance in the protection and camp coordination and camp management (CCCM) sectors to mitigate the compounding effects of projected severe flooding on the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable internally displaced communities in informal settlements in Bentiu town, Unity State. This UNHCR project established and provided services in a women- and girl-friendly space, including psychosocial support to survivors of gender-based violence, and reinforced the protective infrastructure in displacement sites to better protect people from the impact of projected severe flooding. The project provided protection services to 9,200 people and CCCM services to 63,100 people.
