Provision of Integrated Lifesaving Reproductive Health and GBV Prevention and Response Services for floods and crisis Affected Communities (22-RR-FPA-020)

Project overview

The main objective of this project was to scale up protection and sexual and reproductive health services to mitigate the adverse impact of a projected flood shock on the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable women, girls and other marginalized group in Unity State. This UNFPA project supported health facilities and mobile teams to deliver emergency obstetric and new-born care, family planning and other lifesaving reproductive health services for communities, distributed dignity kits and cash to the most vulnerable women and girls and provided other protection services such as gender-based violence case management and psychosocial support, among others. The project provided sexual and reproductive health services to 52,000 people and protection support to 23,000 people.
