Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide gender-based violence protection assistance to internally displaced persons, returnees and host community members in Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu. This UNFPA project provides protection referral services, distributes dignity kits, provides cash transfers to support the socio-economic reinsertion of women and girls, establishes women- and girl-friendly safe spaces, and provides access management services to women and girls. This project provides humanitarian assistance to 121,000 people, including 25,600 women, 24,700 men, 70,700 children, and including 6,000 persons with disabilities.
