Provision of Protection services and upgrading living conditions in Al-Hol Camp, north-east Syria (21-UF-HCR-021)

Project overview

UNHCR’s life-saving engagement aims to provide comprehensive protection services and implement basic infrastructure shelter improvements increasing access to communal basic services such as WASH facilities and kitchens in Al-Hol camp, Al-Hasakeh Governorate in north-east Syria. These improvements enhance safety and security, improve the protection environment, and reduce overcrowding in the camp. Under the CERF project, UNHCR provide community-based protection services and communal WASH and kitchen facilities directly targeting approximately 22,900 people living in Al-Hol camp, Al-Hasakeh Governorate in north-east Syria, out of whom, 20,000 people will be reached with protection activities, and 2,900 with the infrastructure improvements. Overall inclusion of persons with disabilities is mainstreamed in the project’s activities. UNHCR also target persons with disabilities more specifically under the CERF additional earmarked envelope.
