UNICEF will use the $2.05 million from CERF to rehabilitate 20 boreholes and 35 shallow wells, and disinfect 250 shallow wells, which will serve 200,000 Somalia, including 70,736 displaced persons. In addition, UNICEF will provide 10,000 hygiene kits and conduct hygiene promotion with a focus on hand washing with soap.
