Project overview
The WFP project aims to provide emergency food assistance and early recovery support to populations affected by tropical cyclones Fytia and Gezani in Madagascar. WFP and its partners provide unconditional cash transfers to households affected by Cyclone Gezani to meet urgent food needs, conditional cash transfers to support early recovery through the rehabilitation of community infrastructure and restoration of livelihoods damaged by Cyclone Fytia, and immediate logistics support to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian supplies and non-food items.The project assists 45,122 people, including 7,220 women, 5,866 men, 17,146 girls, and 14,890 boys. An estimated 266 persons with disabilities benefit from this project.
