Project overview
The FAO project aims to provide emergency agricultural assistance to vulnerable households affected by the tropical cyclones Fytia and Gezani. FAO and its partners support the recovery of staple and horticultural production through the provision of agricultural inputs, conduct livestock vaccination and deworming campaigns, provide veterinary treatments for poultry and small ruminants, and distribute fishing kits with technical support to affected fishing households. The project provides livelihood assistance to 51,000 people, including 11,220 women, 9,180 men, 16,830 girls, and 13,770 boys. An estimated 2,550 persons with disabilities benefit from this project.
