Emergency multi-sectoral response for Congolese refugee new arrivals in Uganda: CCCM, Protection, Health, and WASH Services (CERF-UGA-25-RR-HCR-35711)

Project overview

The main objective of this UNHCR project is to provide life-saving multi-sectoral support to Congolese refugee new arrivals in Uganda through emergency camp management, protection, health, and WASH services. This project provides primary health care to all new refugees at the Nyakabande and Matanda transit centres and the Kabazana reception centre, including protection monitoring for children and GBV survivors, psychosocial support, shelter, repair of solar-powered cookstoves, construction of water storage tanks, and upgrading of WASH facilities, among other activities. The project offers life-saving assistance to 42,000 people, including 10,500 women, 22,000 children, and 6,300 persons with disabilities.
