Life-saving emergency livelihood response in South Sudan (CERF-SSD-25-RR-FAO-35701)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to reduce the adverse impact of flooding on the lives and livelihoods of 65,000 vulnerable households in South Sudan, particularly those at heightened risk due to escalating conflict, anticipated floods, food insecurity, and the ongoing cholera outbreak. This FAO project provides interventions focus on the most affected counties, namely Canal/Pigi, Fangak, Akobo, Ayod, Panyikang, and Fashoda. The project provides life-saving assistance to 390,000 people, including 195,000 women, 117,000 men, and 78,000 children.
