Project overview
Through this anticipatory action project, WFP distributes emergency cash assistance to people at risk of flooding before the forecasted overflow of the Chari River in N'Djamena. WFP's assistance allows 72,638 people (including 36,756 women and girls) to have access to a 30-day food ration, reducing their risk of becoming food insecure and relying on negative coping strategies once the peak flooding has occurred.
