Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving assistance to flood-affected populations in Nigeria. This WFP project provides in-kind food and nutrition assistance to displaced persons and host communities in Borno state, and cash transfers to affected people in Borno and Sokoto states. This project will also provide humanitarian air services to UN agencies and NGOs, thus enabling humanitarian access to vulnerable communities affected by flooding in northeast Nigeria. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 176,000 people, including over 42,600 women, 86,600 children, and including over 5,200 persons with disabilities.
