Hurricane Rafael: support sexual and reproductive health services and needs of vulnerable persons in affected municipalities in Artemisa and Mayabeque municipality. (CERF-CUB-24-RR-FPA-34307)

Project overview

The main objective of the project is to contribute to saving lives by providing continuous services in maternal hospitals and health basic centers, and by attending needs of hygiene and protection for GBV, in the nine municipalities most affected by Hurricane Rafael in Artemisa and Mayabeque provinces. This UNFPA project aims to distribute various equipment for maternal services, reproductive health kits, and hygienic kits, as well as sensitize communities on various issues pertaining sexual and reproductive health, STIs, sexual violence, hygiene conditions for pregnant women, adolescents and people with disabilities. The intervention provides humanitarian assistance to 90,000 people (38,115 women, 16,161 men and 35,724 children) including 2,700 persons with disabilities.
