Project overview

The main objective of the project is to provide life-saving water, sanitation and hygiene services and supplies, improving sanitary and hygienic conditions in communities, educational and health institutions and ensuring access to safe, secure and functional learning spaces for children in affected communities by Hurricane Rafael. This UNICEF project aims to distribute critical educational and learning materials to resume learning activities, and to provide essential water, sanitation and hygiene services and supplies for vulnerable people and health facilities in the 7 most affected municipalities of the Artemisa province. The intervention provides humanitarian assistance to 191,077 people (51,997 women, 48,198 men and 90,882 children) including 4,815 persons with disabilities.
