Project overview
The main objective of the project is to contribute to save lives of vulnerable populations through ensuring the minimum capacities of sexual and reproductive health services in maternal hospitals and health basic centers and providing protection for GBV, gender inequalities and discrimination to these vulnerable population groups. The project aims to ensure the continuity of vital sexual and reproductive health services in the areas most affected by Hurricane Oscar, mainly in the municipalities of San Antonio del Sur, Maisí, Imías and Baracoa, including the strengthening of existing services and supplies for obstetric care, family planning, care for sexual violence, and hygiene conditions for pregnant women, adolescents and people with disabilities, from a gender and rights-based approach. The intervention provides humanitarian assistance to 39,000 people (15,781 women, 5,818 men and 17,401 children).
