Provide food assistance and support for livelihoods to vulnerable people in the states of Delta Amacuro, Falcón, Sucre and Zulia (23-UF-WFP-067)

Project overview

The main goal of the WFP project is to offer both conditional and unconditional food assistance, accompanied by refresher orientation trainings, to vulnerable households. Through these interventions, the project aims to enable these households to fulfill their basic food needs and enhance their livelihoods. Additionally, a collaborative effort will be made with other UN agencies to conduct a joint community consultation in Guajira, seeking to identify the specific food security, livelihoods, and protection needs of vulnerable groups in the region. As part of the project's commitment to supporting inclusive education, efforts will be directed towards refurbishing the infrastructure of a special education school located in Colina municipality, Falcon state. This initiative is geared towards creating a safe and conducive environment for students with disabilities within the community. The project provides life-saving assistance to 10,040 people, including 1,580 women, 1,680 men, 6,780 children, and including 1,677 persons with disabilities.
