Strengthening Protection and Resilience in Venezuelan communities to mitigate the recourse to negative coping mechanisms and associated life-threatening risks (23-UF-HCR-046)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide access to essential services to mitigate the need for negative coping mechanisms, including mobility. This UNHCR project provides rehabilitation and conditioning of community spaces that will serve as temporary emergency shelters during disasters, renovation and provision of equipment and materials of the premises of local clinics, and the renovation and supply of equipment and materials for health clinics, which will also serve as space to hold campaigns related to sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, gender-based violence and trafficking, among other activities. The project provides life-saving assistance to 25,854 people, including 8,846 women, 7,934 men, 9,074 children, and including 404 persons with disabilities.
