Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide shelter, essential household item, and protection assistance to internally displaced persons affected by flooding in N’Djamena and the Lac district. This UNHCR project provides over $791,000 in cash assistance to displaced families and conducts protection monitoring and assistance in sites hosting displaced persons. The shelter component of the project provides humanitarian assistance to 78,000 people, including 29,500 women, 12,600 men, 35,900 children, and including 11,700 persons with disabilities. The protection component provides humanitarian assistance to 381,000 people, including 103,000 women, 88,000 men, 190,000 children, and including 57,000 persons with disabilities.
