Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide WASH, nutrition and child protection assistance to internally displaced persons, returnees and host community members in Lac, Fouli, Kaya, Mamdi, and Wayi. This UNICEF project treats children suffering from severe acute malnutrition, provides training on infant and young child feeding, improves access to safe drinking water by rehabilitating water point, constructs emergency latrines, distributes WASH kits, raise awareness about proper hygiene, and provides case management services for children in need of protection services. The WASH component provides life-saving assistance to 42,000 people; the child protection component to 15,000 people, and the nutrition component to 4,000 people.
