CERF-funded Project

Republic of the Sudan

Strengthening the protection environment in conflict affected localities in Sudan. (23-UF-HCR-015)

Project overview

This UNHCR project provides protection monitoring in conflict-affected areas including hot spots and locations that have received large numbers of displaced people. This is carried out through community-based structures that are either already existing or will be established to provide information to analyze the protection environment and identify persons with special needs including survivors of gender-based violence, people with disabilities, and other protection concerns. Further, UNHCR proposes to support identified people with individual protection assistance through in-kind or cash assistance. UNHCR also uses the collected protection information and analysis to produce regular advocacy messages. This project targets 24,350 affected people.
