Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide nutrition, protection and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) assistance to vulnerable communities. Under the nutrition component, 511,600 people receive assistance, including 476,600 children who are screened for acute malnutrition, 10,000 children who are treated for severe acute malnutrition, and 35,000 caregivers who receive training. The WASH component reduces the risk of acute and chronic malnutrition for 400,000 people by providing clean water and other preventative WASH interventions. The protection component covers 50,000 people - particularly women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
