Project overview
The main objective of this WHO project is to reduce morbidity and mortality related to epidemic-prone diseases and other public health threats to displaced populations. The project provides daily subsistence allowance to surveillance vigils to conduct surveillance activities in displaced people's camps, nurses to provide first aid and referral of patients, and pays hygienists to perform sanitation activities around suspected cases.The project provides life-saving assistance to 16,358 people, including 5,948 women, 5,380 men and 5,030 children.
