Project overview
The main objective of this project is to strengthen the community-based protection response in conflict-afflicted areas to ensure that affected populations have access to legal assistance, life-saving information and justice mechanisms by supporting local communities and authorities. This UNHCR project provides awareness-raising and training sessions on self-protection mechanisms, workshops with local authorities to strengthen self-protection mechanisms, and legal assistance and information on access to rights, among other activities. The project provides life-saving assistance to 10,035 people, including 3,285 women, 2,930 men, 3,820 children, and 151 persons with disabilities.
