Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide food security assistance to internally displaced persons, returnees and host community members in Bunia, Djugu and Mahagi in Ituri province. This WFP project provides in-kind food assistance and cash transfers to families in need. Additionally, the project supports the UN’s Humanitarian Air Service (UNHAS), facilitating the transport of humanitarian cargo and personnel to hard-to-reach areas. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 17,100 people, including 3,300 women, 2,700 men, 11,100 children, and including 500 persons with disabilities.
