Project overview
The primary objective of this UNHCR project is to ensure comprehensive coverage of clean cooking fuel refills, specifically liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), for the vulnerable Rohingya refugees. UNHCR aims to acquire and distribute regular LPG refills in collaboration with its local partner across the 16 camps within its area of responsibility in Cox’s Bazar. This initiative addresses the prolonged environmental impact caused by the presence of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and to safeguard women from exposure to gender-based violence. In total, the project targets 444,286 people, including 117,043 women, 98,047 men and 229,196 children, and including approximately 53,314 people with disabilities.
