Project overview

The main objective of this project was to provide protection assistance to affected communities and people in Centre-North, East, North, Sahel, and Boucle du Mouhoun regions of Burkina Faso. This UNHCR project improved access to inter-agency mechanisms for reporting and handling community complaints, by and for affected communities via mobile telephones and Community Complaints Committees. The project reached 215,922 people, including 34,811 women, 104,698 men, 76,413 children, and 32,388 persons with disabilities with protection activities. This project was part of the special thematic allocation for Accountability to Affected People (AAP) under the 2023 round 2 of the underfunded emergencies (UFE) allocations.
