Project overview
The main objective of this UNMAS project is to reduce the impact of explosive threats among the population of Kunduz, Baghlan, and Faryab provinces. This project provides seven demining teams and three abandoned improvised devices demining teams that conduct clearance operations in 21 targeted hazardous areas. MATC conducts external QM visits to ensure clearance is in compliance with Afghanistan Mine Action Standards, among other activities. The project provides life-saving assistance to 41,868 people, including 9,881 women, 10,200 men, 21,787 children, and 6,281 persons with disabilities.
