Project overview
The main objective of the UNFPA project is to strengthen prevention of and response to gender-based violence for vulnerable women and girls in districts affected by the El NiƱo drought. UNFPA, with its implementing partners, establishes 40 safe spaces to provide psychosocial support for the most vulnerable women and girls. The project increases accessibility to survivor-centered GBV services and enhance community awareness of GBV. This project provides life-saving assistance to 32,000 people, of whom 14,879 women, 5,910 men and 11,211 children. An estimated 2,880 people with disabilities benefit from this project.
