Project overview
The main objective of this UNICEF project is to fast-track Nutrition and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) assistance to slow down the current cholera outbreak. The project ensures access to safe water in five districts affected by cholera and El NiƱo. Additionally, it enhances community-based surveillance to promptly identify and treat children experiencing wasting and to monitor variations in wasting levels within the community. This project provides life-saving assistance to 77,070 people, of whom 20,910 are women, 18,720 are men and 37,440 are children. An estimated 1,170 people with disabilities benefit from this project.
