Project overview
The main objectives of this project are to provide urgent life-saving integrated water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and nutrition services to the communities affected by Cyclone Lola, strengthen their climate-resilience and prevent malnutrition. This UNICEF project provides essential WASH items (hygiene kits, water containers, water filters amongst others), treats cases of acute malnutrition, particularly among children under five, provides essential micronutrients to prevent deficiencies and conducts awareness campaigns for optimal nutrition and care practices, especially for caregivers. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 12,500 people, including 3,061 women, 3,189 men, 6,250 children, and including 624 persons with disabilities.
