Project overview
This project provides life-saving food assistance to affected people, mitigating the direct humanitarian crisis in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Freddy. WFP provides assistance to 145,500 people in the targeted districts for one month. WFP facilitates access for air transport of cargo and search and rescue efforts in locations not accessible by road or river. Mobile storage units support adequate storage facilities for relief items. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 145,500 people, including 30,992 women, 43,796 men, 70,713 children, and including 16,878 persons with disabilities.
