Project overview
This project provides integrated life-saving sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) mitigation and response during the Cyclone Freddy response in Malawi. UNFPA conducts GBV prevention and mitigation and procures international reproductive health kits and special maternity and neonatal kits. In addition, UNFPA provides neonatal basic emergency care that prevents pregnancy complications. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 208,973 people, including 78,795 women, 42,508 men, and 87,710 children.
