Provision of lifesaving sexual and reproductive health services, gender-based violence response, and mental health and psychosocial support to vulnerable people affected by Cyclone Mocha (23-RR-FPA-023)

Project overview

The main objective of this project is to ensure that cyclone-affected women, girls, and young people have increased access to quality, integrated services for sexual and reproductive health (SRH), survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services. This UNFPA provides life-saving SRH services to affected populations, including persons with disabilities, procurement and distribution of clean delivery kits and other maternal health and family planning commodities, and recruitment and support of midwives to provide SRH services in the affected areas, among other activities. The project provides life-saving assistance to 74,727 people, including 46,447 women, 10,782 men, 9,993 children, and including 3,429 persons with disabilities.
