Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide anticipatory and early health interventions for vulnerable and at-risk populations facing a deterioration of health conditions related to the forecasted drought-impact of El Niño in Madagascar. This WHO project provides lifesaving primary healthcare, medical equipment and essential medication to health facilities, refresher trainings for health workers on intra- and post-partum care, postnatal care and paediatric care as well as monthly reviews of vaccination registers and catch-up vaccination campaigns. The project provides life-saving assistance to 27,300 people, including 7,176 women, 6,895 men, 13,229 children, and 388 persons with disabilities.
