Rapid response to health threats in selected flood-affected (23-RR-WHO-054)

Project overview

The WHO project aims to provide life-saving assistance to children and women in flood-impacted communities in Somali and Oromia regions. The project distributes malaria bed nets, cholera health kits, and water treatment-related kits and supplies. Additionally, it conducts water quality assessments, provides risk communication to raise awareness of outbreak prevention, supports community-based and regional health bureaux, and provides refresher training to rapid response teams, medical officers, and staff on cholera and malaria prevention, response and treatment. The project provides life-saving assistance to 77,100 people of whom 21,446 are women, 21,190 men and 34,464 children. An estimated 13,570 people with disabilities benefit from this project.
