Project overview
The FAO project aims to save lives and livelihoods in vulnerable flood-affected communities in the Somali and Afar regions of Ethiopia. The project supports to both pastoral and agropastoral communities through critical assistance in crop and livestock production, including provision of agricultural inputs and cash for 10,000 individuals (2,000 households) and provision of critical animal health services, including vaccination and treatment, for 100,000 people (20,000 households). The project delivers life-saving assistance to a total of 110,000 people, including 25,520 women, 25,079 men, and 59,401 children. An estimated 19,360 people with disabilities benefit from this project.
