Project overview
The UNICEF project provides essential water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, along with multipurpose cash assistance to flood-affected people in the Afar, Gambella, and Somali regions. It includes borehole rehabilitation, reticulation system expansion, and basic WASH item distribution. The project incorporates a risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) component. The cash assistance reaches 12,720 individuals, offering $100 per household per month in two rounds. Overall, the project aids 27,847 people, including 32,436 women, 31,164 men, and 56,400 children, and benefiting an estimated 12,000 people with disabilities.
