Providing critical WASH and Nutrition services to conflict and cholera-affected populations in Amhara, Afar and Oromia regions (23-RR-CEF-063)

Project overview

The primary objective of this project is to provide critical Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), as well as Nutrition services to populations affected by conflict and cholera in the Amhara, Afar, and Oromia regions. The allocated resource from UNICEF supports the rehabilitation of existing non-functional water schemes and the distribution of WASH Non-Food Items and Social and behavioral change strategies activities. Under nutrition, UNICEF supplies balanced Energy Protein to 11,540 pregnant and breastfeeding mothers who are among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and children aged 6-23 months. This project targets a total of 101,291 people, including 41,221 women, 39,604 men, 71,675 children, and 2,606 people with disabilities.
