Project overview
The main objective of this project was to provide health assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict and displacement in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. This WHO project strengthened the surveillance of and response to disease outbreaks, provided access to health care services, including mental health and psychosocial support, and supported victims of gender-based violence, among other activities. The project provided life-saving assistance in the Health sector to 203,489 people, including 63,108 women, 81,493 children, and 30,525 persons with disabilities.
