Project overview
The main objective of this UNHCR project was to provide protection assistance to Sudanese refugees and local host communities in the northeast of the Central African Republic. The project relocated 11,137 refugees and 6,158 returnees away from the border (if they chose to do so), registered the newly arrived refugees as asylum-seekers and carried out protection monitoring, among other activities. The project provided humanitarian assistance to 17,295 people, including 3,724 women, 3,364 men, 10,207 children, and including 147 persons with disabilities.
