Project overview
The main objective of this project is to deliver primary health care services to vulnerable persons in Herat affected by the earthquake. WHO provides lifesaving health assistance to 77,235 people, which includes 23,849 women, 22,263 men, and 31,123 children. Additionally, 9,266 people with disabilities will benefit from this project. The key activities of this project include the establishment of health facilities, the provision of immediate and effective Mental Health and Psychosocial Support to affected persons, the deployment of Surveillance Support Teams to detect, verify and respond to potential disease outbreaks, and the supply of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.
