Addressing the immediate needs of the earthquake-affected populations in Herat with Shelter/NFI assistance (23-RR-IOM-034)

Project overview

The primary aim of this project is to promptly address the winterization requirements of approximately 16,100 individuals in Herat province who have been affected by the earthquake. This IOM project provides Shelter and essential non-food items (NFIs) for households. Specifically, it caters to immediate winterization needs, which encompass winter clothing, blankets, heating, and fuel. To implement this assistance effectively, cash-based interventions are employed. IOM will reach 16,100 individuals 6,100 individuals, comprising 3,220 men, 3,220 women, 4,830 boys, and 4,830 girls in Herat province. Additionally, this project also benefits 161 individuals with disabilities.
