Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide emergency shelter to vulnerable families affected by the October 2023 Herat earthquakes in Afghanistan. This UNHCR project responds to pressing needs with the distribution of emergency family tents for 1,711 households. These tents will be specifically directed towards vulnerable families, including those who have suffered injuries, displacement, the elderly, women, children, and individuals with disabilities. This distribution assists some 11,977 directly affected persons, of whom 2,775 are women,2,775 men and 6,468 are children. Additionally, 994 people with disabilities also benefit from this project.
