Project overview
The main objective of this project is to provide life-saving Gender-Based Violence response and Psychosocial Support Services for Women and Girls Impacted by the Herat Earthquake. This UNFPA project offers gender-based violence response and psychosocial support services, including psychosocial counseling, psychological first aid, and awareness raising about the available services. Furthermore, to ensure hygiene and cater to the specific needs of women and girls in the wake of the disaster, UNFPA distributes Dignity Kits. The project provides humanitarian assistance to 53,750 people, of whom 43,000 are women and 10,750 are girls. Additionally, 3,240 people with disabilities also benefit from this project.
