Project overview

The main objective of this project is to provide sexual and reproductive health assistance and gender-based violence protection assistance to internally displaced persons, returnees and host community members in Ituri and North Kivu Provinces. This UNFPA project provides access to sexual and reproductive health services through the provision of inter-agency reproductive health kits, distributes dignity kits, provides psychosocial and case management services to survivors of gender-based violence, and provides both unconditional and conditional cash transfers. The sexual and reproductive health component of the project provides humanitarian assistance to 24,300 people, including 5,800 women, 5,300 men, 13,200 children, and including 1,200 persons with disabilities. The gender-based violence protection component provides humanitarian assistance to 22,800 people, including 8,400 women, 2,200 men, and 12,200 children, and including 1,100 persons with disabilities.
