Project overview
With this CERF-funded project, WHO, together with health cluster partners, ensured consistent access to quality medicines by distributing and replenishing a vast array of emergency medical supplies to health facilities in 15 priority locations. The medical supplies improved access to basic health services and reduced flood-related morbidity and mortality. Additionally, WHO also implemented critical public health measures, including water sample collection and testing, to ensure safe drinking water is available and to reduce the risks associated with water borne diseases such as watery diarrhea. In total, the project provided life-saving health support to 256,384 people, including 103,297 women, 27,458 girls, and 38,458 people with disabilities.
